SRTA is responsible for allocating Transportation Development Act funds for public transportation services within the region. Each year the Unmet Transit Needs process is carried out to identify and evaluate any potential needs that are not being met through existing public transportation services.
A public hearing on Shasta Region Unmet Transit Needs will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at 3:00 p.m., to review unmet transit needs at the SRTA Salmon Room, 1255 East Street, Suite 202, Redding, California. Requests for transit service and other comments may be submitted at the public hearing as well as by email, telephone, or letter.

SRTA requests your input on unmet transit needs in the Shasta Region, including any needs not being met by the Redding Area Bus Authority (RABA), Burney Express, and Dignity Health Connected Living, including Shasta Connect.
The draft FY 2023/24 Transit Needs Assessment & Unmet Transit Needs Findings is in development.
