Beach Bus to Whiskeytown

Ride the Beach Bus for free between Downtown Redding and multiple destinations at Whiskeytown National Recreation Area during the summer, generally from Memorial Day to Labor Day. In 2022, the service operates on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays only, excluding holidays from May 26 to September 3.

The Shasta Regional Transportation Agency (SRTA) is sponsoring the Beach Bus, which is offered at no cost to passengers and includes free access to Whiskeytown. The Redding Area Bus Authority (RABA) operates the service, with additional assistance and support from the National Park Service and Healthy Shasta

The Beach Bus route begins and ends its route from Redding’s Downtown Transit Center at 1530 Yuba Street which allows passengers to transfer between RABA bus services, intercity transportation including Burney Express and Amtrak, and rural transportation provided by ShastaConnect.

The most recent service timetable and map are available here, and additional information about the service is available on the RABA website
