The Shasta Regional Transportation Agency (SRTA) Board of Directors will consider adopting a 4-year Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) update cycle. Currently, SRTA prepares a RTP every five years. The RTP is a long-range transportation planning and policy document that establishes regional priorities for all modes of transportation over a 20-year period. Projects must be listed in the plan in order to receive federal or state funding. Information regarding the plan is available on our Regional Transportation Plan webpage.
This vote would also change the frequency of General Plan Housing Element update cycles for local city and county planning departments. Current Housing Element updates are on a five-year cycle; however, this changes future cycles to every eight years.
A public hearing will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at 3:00 PM, at the City of Anderson Council Chambers, 1887 Howard St., Anderson, CA. Verbal comments may be provided at the hearing and written comments will be accepted through December 8, 2014. Please direct your comments to:
