Transportation agencies in the Shasta region authorized over $122 million of federal and state funds for local streets, road, bicycle, pedestrian and transit-related projects in Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2017-18.  FFYs run from October 1 to September 30.

State and local road project information (including bicycle and pedestrian walkway projects) is provided by Caltrans, and enhanced by adding SRTA Federal Transportation Improvement Program (FTIP) numbering for all projects except for the emergency relief ones which are not programmed through the FTIP.  SRTA also collects transit data from U.S. Department of Transportation grants awards reported by Shasta County local public transit providers.

Just over one-half ($65.7 million) of the $122 million authorized was for the Interstate 5 Redding to Anderson Six-Lane Project, using Trade Corridor Enhancement Program revenues generated by the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017 (Senate Bill 1).
