Description:

SRTA seeks proposals from qualified consultants to install or update the access control system at the SRTA building located at 1255 East Street in Redding, California. This will replace an existing Schlage electronic door lock access control system. An option to provide on-call preventative maintenance and/or support services after completion of the initial project is also being considered as part of this contract.

This project is funded by a combination of federal and state funds. The estimated contract award budget is $20,000. Work is expected to be complete within six months of contract signing.

Miscellaneous:

Addendum 1 - September 14, 2022: Two additional documents have been added to help prepare proposals. One is map showing the second floor plan with locations of existing doors with access controls, the other is a 2020 report on wifi signal strength at various locations around the second the floor.

Addendum 2 - October 7, 2022: Due to an administrative error, the question and answer document for this procurement had not been added to the bid posting page on the SRTA website before today, October 7. In order to ensure the two-week period between the posting of the questions and answers document and the proposal submission deadline is available to all potential proposers, the submission deadline for this procurement has been extended an additional two weeks to 3 p.m. PDT on Friday, October 21, 2022. Postmarks will not be accepted.
